Early Childhood Education Pre-Primary Endorsement Certificate

Our online one-year program to add 3-6 license onto a current K-6 or K-12 teaching license.

Prepare to teach young learners

The online Pre-Primary Endorsement Certificate is designed for licensed K-6 teachers seeking to expand their skills portfolio to teach young learners.

You’ll earn a St. °µÍø½ûÇø certificate and meet the requirements for a State of Minnesota endorsement to teach children ages three to five. Endorsements are available to previously licensed teachers who want to extend their licensure to an additional area.

This online program, designed for working educators, can be completed in one year. Students start in the fall of each year and complete the following summer.

Four courses are required – Introduction to Early Childhood Education, The Art of Childhood Classroom Guidance and Assessment, Understanding of Diverse Family Experiences and Student Exceptionalities in Early Childhood, and Child in the Family. Students also complete a two-credit practicum experience, which can be completed in your own community.

If you are seeking to earn your first teaching license, enroll in our Early Childhood Education (0-6) licensure program, which you may pursue as part of a first or second bachelor’s degree.
