Elevate Your Performance with our Exercise and Sport Science Program

The St. °µÍø½ûÇø exercise and sport science program explores human performance, including health and wellness, strength and conditioning, exercise adherence across the lifespan, and athletic ability.

Learn in the Field and in Modern Research Labs

At St. °µÍø½ûÇø, our exercise and sport science (EXSS) program offers a holistic approach to understanding the science behind physical activity, exercise, and sports performance. Our dedicated faculty members, respected for their expertise and experience, guide students in gaining a comprehensive understanding of human kinetics.

Our state-of-the-art research lab — the Women’s Health Integrative Research (WHIR) Center — allows students opportunities to explore human movement using a 3D Electromagnetic Motion System, Metabolic Measurement Unit, and Heart Rate Monitoring System.

In our research methods course, you will design, conduct, and present research in an area that combines your passions with the needs of the community. Our fieldwork courses provide interactive internships and hands-on work experiences within the EXSS field.

St. Kate's EXSS majors have access to a tremendous range of fieldwork sites. You'll work with your advisor to develop fieldwork experiences that meet your career goals, including fitness centers, corporate health, personal training, and physical therapy rehabilitation centers.
