Deb currently serves as the Director of Leadership Development for the Synod of Lakes and Prairies in the Presbyterian Church (USA). Prior to this position, she directed both the in-person and online Master’s degree programs for Public Safety Leaders at the University of St. Thomas. At St. Thomas, she also taught qualitative research classes for many years and directed the Annual Qualitative Research Conference for several years. In addition, she co-taught the doctoral ethics class for 13 years.
Her educational background includes a BA in Political Science from Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA, an MA in College Student Services from Bowling Green State University, an M.Div. from Yale Divinity School, and an Ed.D. from the University of St. Thomas. Throughout her career in the Church and University, Deb has maintained a passion for leadership development, teaching tools to process difficult situations, and empowering people for leadership. She enjoys helping people discover their own passions and values, believing that these are their unique gifts to the world.
