Erin Schumacher, PT, DPT, EdD is the Assistant Director of Clinical Education and assistant professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at St. °µÍø½ûÇø. Erin is a graduate of Penn State University where she earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology with a movement science emphasis. She received a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences in 2010, and earned an EdD in Curriculum and Instruction in 2024. Her areas of interest are in sustainability of clinical education and diversification of physical therapy education and practice, and has a developing line of research related to inclusion of neurodivergent students in DPT education. She has practiced as a clinician in various practice settings since 2010 and been an APTA credentialed clinical instructor since 2011. Erin has served as faculty in higher education since 2019 and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
