Dr. Hugo Klaers, PT, DPT, OCS is an assistant professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at St. °µÍø½ûÇø. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology in 2010. He received a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from St. °µÍø½ûÇø in 2014, and completed the Fairview Health Services Orthopedic Physical Therapy residency program in 2015. He became a board-certified specialist in orthopedic physical therapy in 2016. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Dr. Klaers has journal publications in the area of the athletic shoulder, has taught continuing education courses for local physical therapists and other allied health professionals, and has presented at the APTA's national annual conference. Dr. Klaers teaches course content in musculoskeletal examination and intervention, clinical anatomy, and serves as the Director for the Human Anatomy Lab at St. °µÍø½ûÇø, as well as serving as one of the co-chairs of admissions for the DPT program. He lives in south Minneapolis with his wife and two children.
