Joyce Yukawa is the Program Director and Associate Professor in the MLIS Program of St. °µÍø½ûÇø. She has taught introduction to LIS, reference and information services, research methods, internet fundamentals and design, information literacy instruction, social networking technologies, human information behavior, web usability/accessibility, and older adults and the web. Her teaching, research, presentations, and service draw upon interests in the blending of face-to-face and online interaction in librarianship and professional development, with a particular focus on social learning and service learning within communities of practice. She has had experience as a librarian in academic, public, and special libraries in the U.S. and Asia. She received her Ph.D. in Communication and Information Sciences from the University of Hawai'i.
