Krista Anderson is a Certified Health Care Simulation Educator-Advanced (CHSE-A) with over fifteen years of experience developing, facilitating, and evaluating healthcare simulation-based methods/techniques. Krista is innovative in her leadership and contributions to the application of simulation-based education modalities for education, assessment, and systems integration for healthcare professional, students, teams, and systems. Krista is the Director of Simulation for the St. °µÍø½ûÇø's Institute of Simulation and Interprofessional Learning (I-SAIL), which is dedicated to support high quality and interprofessional simulation learning activities for students across 30 Nursing and Health Sciences programs. In the Director role, she has implemented sustainable quality improvement efforts to support faculty and students through the creation of a supportive infrastructure, faculty development, a volunteer simulated participant program, and standardization of procedure to align with the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) accreditation guidelines. As a CHSE-A, Krista has contributed to the profession through publications and presentations at the International Meeting for Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH), International Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL), and regionally. She is actively involved with the SSH in volunteer leadership roles which include being an IMSH 2019 planning chair, the Internal Relations Committee chair, a Nominations Committee member, contributing author to the Healthcare Simulation Dictionary, and various other roles throughout her career. experience developing curricula, teaching, and presenting on the use of simulation as well as specific applications. Krista is passionate about quality improvement and preparing the future healthcare workforce to provide efficient quality patient centered safe care collaboratively as a team in complex healthcare systems that perpetuate health determinants and inequities. Krista Anderson's Doctorate of Nursing Practice project is titled: Integrating Social Justice Concepts in Simulation Using a Lens of Cultural Humility: A Quality Improvement Project.
