Michael Haydock is a former IBM Fellow and Chief Scientist in IBM’s Consulting Practice, specializing in machine learning, numerical optimization, and quantum computing for customer contact strategies and supply chain intelligence. His research focuses on applying mathematical optimization and cognitive computing to market risk and marketing science, helping businesses reengineer customer contact systems to enhance real-time interactions and revenue growth. He has worked with clients across industries, holds multiple U.S. patents, and has published extensively on data-driven customer engagement and supply chain optimization. Previously, Michael served as President, CEO, and Board Member of Cray Research and held leadership roles at IBM and Control Data Corporation, where he applied supercomputing to business and scientific challenges. He has contributed to the United Nations World Weather Organization and advised technology-focused venture capital groups. Michael holds a B.S. and M.S. in Marketing from Florida Atlantic University and a Ph.D. in Operations Research from Walden University. He resides in Chanhassen, MN.
