ACTC Forms

If you have any questions about the ACTC process, please review the FAQ listed below. If you have any remaining questions, please email registrar@stkate.edu.

ACTC Course Registration

ACTC Cross-registration is only allowed in the Fall and Spring terms. J-term and Summer courses are not available for ACTC registration.

Only full time, degree-seeking students in the College for Women (CFW) are eligible to take courses through ACTC cross-registration.

Full-time enrollment is defined as taking 12 or more credits in a semester. ACTC courses do contribute to the overall enrollment. For example, a student registered in 8 credits at St. Kates who request to take a 4-credit course at Augsburg will have 12 credits total and would be considered a full-time student.

You can only register for one course per semester. Exceptions are allowed for students with an ACTC major or minor program of study on file. Those with a declared ACTC major/minor but without a program of study on file are allowed one ACTC course per term until the program of study is submitted.

You cannot register for an ACTC course if an equivalent course is being offered at St. Kates in the same term, unless there is a demonstrated time conflict.

St. Kates students cannot be waitlisted for any ACTC courses.

You can request registration by submitting the  to the Registrar at St. 做厙輦⑹ via email (registrar@stkate.edu).

We recommend submitting this form prior to your designated registration day at St. Kates. To determine your date of registration, see our Registration Schedule page.

The sooner we receive the form, the better your chances are of getting into the course.

If you are a student athlete, note this on the form so that we can register you on day one. ACTC registration for Antonian Honors students will be in accordance with their class rank.

If you miss priority registration, you may still be able to get into a course if there are open seats. Submit your form to us and we will see if the ACTC school is willing to accept the request. If the request is for a course at Macalester College, course instructor approval is required outside of priority registration.

Students are beholden to the registration deadline in the academic calendar of St. 做厙輦⑹. Students are also subject to the refund schedule at St. 做厙輦⑹. Students should review both of these at the time of registration to make sure they understand the deadlines.

Submit the form as soon as you know you are not able to take the ACTC course(s) you were originally scheduled in. We will notify the host school accordingly.

You should receive a confirmation email from the St. Kates registrar. This email will either confirm that your seat has been secured or that you have been registered.

If the confirmation indicates that the seat has been secured, this means you have been added to the ACTC courses roster, but your registration has not been finalized. Details on how this registration may be finalized will be included in the confirmation email.

NOTE: The dates reflected in your St. Kates schedule for ACTC courses will not be accurate. Always check the host schools academic calendar or course schedule for specific course dates.

Yes!

You must receive approval from your department/division chair. They should sign the appropriate section of the ACTC cross-registration form. We can also accept approvals via email, but they must explicitly state which course requirement will be satisfied by the registration.

Unfortunately, we cannot waitlist any St. Kates students for an ACTC course.

You can keep checking the ACTC course schedule to see if a seat opens up. If you see an opening, send us your form right away!

ACTC cross-registration offers a unique opportunity for St. Kates students to strengthen their time management and organizational skills. Students who take ACTC courses learn the value of self-advocacy and adaptability, traits that will benefit them long after they graduate.

There are challenges that are unique to the ACTC experience, namely differing academic calendars and commuting. These logistical challenges are addressed in detail in this FAQ under the ACTC Logistics heading.

Despite these challenges, we know that you are more than capable of rising to the occasion. The lessons you will learn (both academically and personally) by taking ACTC courses will help you to lead and influence in and outside of St. Kates.

Federal VA education benefits can be used for ACTC courses that satisfy a degree offered by St. Kate's. However, federal education benefits cannot be used for courses that satisfy an ACTC major. Speak with your School Certifying Official for more information.

ACTC Majors & Minors

Yes! If we do not currently offer the same major/minor at St. Kates and if the ACTC school has availability, you can declare it. We recommend taking a class or two in the department at the ACTC school to see if its a good fit.

The degree type (BA/BS) for an ACTC major is dependent on the degree type available at the ACTC institution (please note Macalester College only awards Bachelor of Arts degrees). If the major is available both as a BA and BS, the student may select their preference when declaring the major.

We maintain a . If a major or minor you are interested in is not listed here, please reach out to your Academic Advisor to discuss further options.

Once the  is filled out in full, you can submit it along with the .

You should discuss the necessary changes with your contact at the ACTC school as well as with your St. Kates advisor. Once you agree on changes, email registrar@stkate.edu as soon as possible.

In many cases, adjustments are minimal and we can accept an email thread as documentation. These emails must clearly show that the ACTC department has agreed to the specific changes requested.

If the changes or approvals are unclear, the Registrar may ask students to complete a new .
