How do I apply?
Timelines and deadlines
New students begin the entry-level OTD and MAOT programs in the summer of each year, with applications accepted in the previous fall. Consult the priority and final deadlines posted below.
We are no longer accepting applications for Summer 2025 admission. Applications for the 2026 admission cycle may be submitted starting in July 2025.
Priority deadline: October 1, 11:59 p.m. EST

It is recommended that applications be submitted 3-4 weeks ahead of a deadline to allow time for OTCAS to process all materials. OTCAS works with thousands of applications every cycle and St. Kates follows their process for completing and verifying applications.
Apply through OTCAS
Applicants apply through the Occupational Therapist Centralized Application Service (OTCAS), a national, centralized system for applications to occupational therapy degree programs
The MAOT and entry-level OTD applications are separate in OTCAS. Applicants are encouraged to choose one degree format or the other but students can decide to apply to both programs in OTCAS. If an applicant applies to both MAOT and OTD-EL, their application will be reviewed and if deemed admissible, the program faculty will decide whether to accept the applicant to the MAOT or OTD-EL. Applicants with an OTCAS application that is "complete" or "verified" after the priority deadline but by the final deadline will receive a decision in late January/early February.
