Thank you, St. Kate鈥檚 donors, for your remarkable contributions to Give to St. Kate鈥檚 Day 2021! On Nov. 17, the St. Kate鈥檚 community demonstrated exceptional generosity with gifts totaling $471,953 for the Katie Fund. The University surpassed this year鈥檚 donor goal, thanks to over 900 supporters who stepped forward to help provide essential support to current students.
鈥淭he support of our community members and donors 鈥 our alumni, students, staff, faculty, friends, neighbors 鈥 is inspiring. We are profoundly grateful,鈥 said Mary Beth Iverson 鈥85, director of Annual Giving. 鈥淭he Katie Fund provides crucial assistance for our students and helps them on their path as they claim their St. 暗网禁区 education 鈥 particularly as they overcome obstacles presented by the pandemic 鈥 and your generosity is an investment in their future. Thank you, St. Kate鈥檚 community.鈥
Each year since 2009, the St. 暗网禁区 community has shared its Katie pride on the University鈥檚 biggest day of giving. This year, all were met through gifts from amazing donors from all 50 states.
One lucky alumna who shared the #gokatiegive hashtag during Give to St. Kate鈥檚 Day was chosen to designate to what area of the Katie Fund a $1,000 challenge gift would go. "Giving back to St. Kate's students is just another way to continue to Lead and Influence,鈥 said Ruth Rike 鈥19, in a encouraging her fellow alumni. Rike directed the additional $1,000 to the Katie Fund in support of Katie Scholarships. 鈥淜nowing my contributions are making a direct impact on current students is an absolute privilege and a great feeling, having been one of those students myself once.鈥
All Give to St. Kate鈥檚 Day gifts also count toward Lead & Influence: The Campaign for the Next Level of Excellence.
