Pre-Occupational Therapy

Prepare for a Master's Program in Occupational Therapy

Are you interested in helping people develop, to their fullest potential, the skills of living needed to learn, work, play, socialize, sleep, and care for themselves and others? When pursuing the pre-occupational therapy degree, you apply your liberal arts education toward a graduate degree in Occupational Therapy (OT).

Make a Real Difference in the Lives of Others

St. Kate’s is a leader in the occupational therapy field, and our OT program was the first to be accredited in the state of Minnesota.

To work as an occupational therapy professional, you are required to have a master's degree. St. Kate’s pre-occupational therapy degree is one of the few programs in the United States to offer a dual degree program that enables you to complete the first year of the graduate curriculum while still an undergraduate student.

Your pre-occupational therapy major area of study will include all MAOT prerequisites, liberal arts core requirements, and major coursework in the field of study you chose. Each is a 12-week full-time placement.

900+ clinical training sites in the Twin Cities, throughout Minnesota, and in several other states.

The Occupational Therapy program at St. °µÍø½ûÇø is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. .

On August 2, 2013, ACOTE presented a Certificate of Accreditation to the Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy Program at St. °µÍø½ûÇø for a period of 10 years from the academic year 2012/2013 to 2022/2023.
