Angela Ekwonye obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology and Education from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, her master's degree in Microbiology, and her Ph.D. in Health Sciences. Dr. Ekwonye's research interest lies heavily in the area of mental health promotion and prevention, with a specific focus on the mechanisms and factors of resiliency underlying the health of vulnerable and diverse populations in the face of social and economic adversity. My expertise includes a strong background in spirituality, meaning, aging, and mental health, with a particular interest in immigrant/refugee and other underserved populations.Â
