Sarah Streyle worked and taught for almost 20 years in various roles in early childhood education before joining the the Early Childhood and Montessori Programs team. She loves using her experience to help guide and inspire adult learners who also have a passion for working with young children. She has taught in public schools as a special education/early intervention teacher, and in private school as a Montessori guide. She earned her MEd here at St. Kate's, and holds current MN teaching licenses in Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Pre-Primary, and Elementary Education, and is IMC-credentialed from the Center for Guided Montessori Studies (Montessori Primary). Research interests include the intersection of Montessori and special education, and trauma-informed teaching practices - helping guide teachers to understand themselves to be able to effectively co-regulate with, and guide, children who are struggling.
