Financial economics combines economics, accounting, and finance to offer a skill set for students looking to work in the financial sector. St. °µÍø½ûÇø has one of only a few innovative financial economic majors in Minnesota.
At St. Kate’s, we teach financial economics through a social justice lens and challenge assumptions. You will dive deep into the important relationships between financial growth, equity, and public policies.
Our robust collaborative undergraduate research program gives you opportunities to conduct research with faculty mentors and present your findings at local, regional, and national conferences, as well as discipline-specific symposiums.
Students can also engage with their peers in Economics Club and attend events, including the annual trip to the Federal Reserve Bank in Minneapolis.
With St. Kate’s financial economics program, you will also be well-positioned to pursue graduate and professional programs in economics, finance, business administration, and more.
